We have talked about a product before that had a funny name, Two Old Goats.  It’s a product that helps with aches and pains in joints and tendons.  And it doesn’t have a strong smell that a lot of joint pain lotion does.  I don’t understand why it works but I know it does.  Trudy sometimes has pain in her arm that she relates to nerve damage from surgery, and she says that it really helps.  We sell a lot of It on the website, and in the store.  People see it at the store and laugh at the name but when we ask them to try it and they do, they always buy it.  And when I went to the National Hardware I came across another product that well…has a strange name.  It has a funny monkey on the label, and is called “Anti Monkey Butt Powder”.  It has calamine powder in it.  So it does what good powder does.  I’m told that its great help for motorcycle riders.  As soon as we can it will be on the website we will.

Now to the email….

Question:  What is the best product that will kill scorpions and roaches?  I can’t seem to get rid of them.
Answer:  The product name is Shoo Fly and Roach Spray.  I know it doesn’t it doesn’t say scorpions on the label but it does kill scorpions.  When I told the manufactures about scorpions, they said “What’s a scorpion?”  They don’t have scorpions up north, so they didn’t know.  It’s a dry powder and will not harm small children or pets but it will kill scorpions for weeks.

Question:  I’m looking for those 3” door stops that don’t have a rubber tip that can come off.  I have small children that put their mouth on everything.  I know they make a solid rubber door stop, but who does?
Answer:  National Hardware makes soft jamb door stops and the ends don’t come off but they are still a great door stop for wall protection.

Question:  I have an older home and the outside of the  home is stucco.  Some of the stucco is cracked and missing.  Is there a quick fix?
Answer:  Yes and it’s called, Dap Stucco Patch and it is ready mixed so all you need is a putty knife.

Question:  I live in a rent home and it’s time for me to move.  I’m taking down the pictures and I now I have little holes everywhere.  Is there a way to fix all those holes without painting?
Answer:  Now as long as you don’t use fluoride, just a little toothpaste will fix it all up.  Pretty simple.

Question:  Is there a way to remove poorly adhered cracked and yellowed varnish which was applied over another on a walnut rifle stock?
Answer:  The best paint and varnish remover is Soy Gel, comes in quart and gallons and is non caustic.  It has no odor and works indoors or out.  There is no safer way to remove paint.  Just make sure not to get in a hurry, it usually takes a couple of hours.

Question:  Hi Johnnie, a few weeks ago you addressed cleaning brass and a product that would keep it shiny.  What were the names of the products?
Answer:  Clean and polish with All Gleam.  Then spray the piece with Superior Shield.  The spray will keep your piece looking good longer.

Question:  I have a beautiful new Lexus with a light grey interior leather seats.  The blue from my denim jeans had faded onto the seats.  Is there anything that will remove the blue without damaging the leather?
Answer:  Lexol leather cleaner is what I would use.  It’s a cleaner that is glycerin rich and cleans leather safely.   Take a small spot first to test.
