Happy Handy Man - July 21, 2010 by Johnnie Chuoke Do you remember the last time that you painted and you bought an expensive paintbrush? You were going to do a great job and you wanted the right tool. After you finished did you forget to clean the brush properly and the expensive brush that you bought – is rock hard with paint? Hey it’s happened to me. I start and finish and something happened and a day or two later I remember – and well it’s too late. But not anymore!! I found a new product that I just love, and it’s called “Labr Saver”. It will take paint out of brushes and leave them soft and ready to use again. It doesn’t make any difference whether it’s latex, or oil, or how long that the paint has been on the brush, “Labr Saver will save your brush. To use “Labr Saver” pour it in a open can and let the brushes and tools just soak. You can even reuse the “Labr Saver”, just after cleaning brushes pour it back into the bottle and use again. It’s environmentally friendly and super concentrated. So now when you forget to clean a brush, or your neighbor does (it’s important to share) - you can “save” the day with “Labr Saver”! Now to the email….. Question: I hope you can help me. I removed a shower curtain from my tub and it left a yellowish strip on the tub where it sat for 25 years. Is there any way to get rid of that stain? I’m re-doing that room but I don’t want to replace the tub. Question: Well Johnnie I just finished repairing and repainting my house after the Ike storm. I insisted on Coronado paint, and I am so glad I did. My house looks beautiful. My painter was quite impressed with the final job. Now my question is about a finish on a table top. It’s cracked. This is a very expensive table and I want to use the right product. And you say, “Call me before you start your project!” So I am asking- what should I use? Question: I have a garden bench. It’s metal and it has rusted. I love this bench and I want it to last. What can I do to restore it and then what should I put on the bench so it won’t rust so soon? I live in Houston- so humidity is always a problem. Question: I have a set of chest of drawers that were in storage. Someone put moth balls in them and boy do they reek of moth balls. I have tried everything! I can’t bring it in the house because of the smell; much less use it to store clothes. So what should I use- or is it a lost cause? Got a question for Johnnie?
